Kanye West’s Former Assistant Sues for Sexual Harassment and Wrongful Termination

In a dramatic legal battle, Kanye West, now legally known as Ye, has been sued by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. Pisciotta, who played a significant role in West’s Yeezy women’s clothing line and his 2021 album Donda, has filed a lawsuit accusing the rapper of sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination.

Allegations Against Ye

According to reports by TMZ and Rolling Stone, Pisciotta’s lawsuit extends to Ye’s company, Yeezy, and includes claims of fraud, unpaid wages, and emotional distress. The lawsuit provides a detailed account of Pisciotta’s experiences and the alleged misconduct she faced while working for West.

Employment Terms and Initial Agreements

Pisciotta began her employment with West in 2021 with a highly lucrative annual salary of $1 million. Her role required her to be available to West at all times. Initially, West did not object to Pisciotta’s additional earnings from OnlyFans and social media. However, this changed dramatically when he demanded to be treated ‘God-like’ and insisted she delete her accounts for an additional $1 million, a demand she eventually agreed to.

Sexual Harassment Claims

Despite complying with West’s demands, Pisciotta claims that West began sexually harassing her. The lawsuit cites explicit text messages from West, including one stating, “See my problem is I am wanting to fuk but then after I fuk I want a girl to tell me how hard they have been fucked while I’m fucking them. Then I want her to cheat on me.” Another text allegedly from West reads, “Is my di*k racist? I’m going to stare at pictures of white women with black asses and beat the shit out of my racist dick.” Pisciotta also alleges that West was obsessively focused on the genital size of her partners and would masturbate during conversations with her.

Disturbing Flight Incident

One particularly disturbing incident described in the lawsuit involves a flight to Paris. Pisciotta claims that West trapped her in his room on the plane, closing a door that could not be opened from the inside. While Pisciotta sat on a chair, West allegedly masturbated under the covers before eventually falling asleep.

Termination and Broken Promises

In September 2022, Pisciotta was promoted to chief of staff for West’s various companies and was promised a $3 million bonus. Shortly after, she was terminated and offered a $3 million severance package, which she claims she never received. This broken promise forms part of her breach of contract claim.

Ye’s Legal Response

West’s legal team has responded to the lawsuit by announcing their intent to countersue Pisciotta. They allege that Pisciotta pursued West sexually to secure employment and material benefits, then resorted to blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected. Additionally, they accuse Pisciotta of stealing West’s cell phone to destroy records that would contradict her claims, which they assert have been preserved.

Company Turmoil

Adding to the controversy, Milo Yiannopoulos, who served as West’s chief of staff, resigned last month following plans to create a pornography division within the company.

Conclusion

This lawsuit highlights serious allegations of workplace harassment and the complex legal battles that can arise from such disputes. As the case unfolds, it remains to be seen how the courts will address the claims and counterclaims from both parties. The situation serves as a stark reminder of the importance of maintaining professional boundaries and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
