Police said that the head of the gang has been identified as Naresh Bishnoi, a second-year student of AIIMS Delhi.
The Delhi Police has arrested four persons for allegedly operating an exam racket where they took money from National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test aspirants in exchange for Rs 7 lakh, and made their gang members appear in their place, officers said on Tuesday.
Police said that the head of the gang has been identified as Naresh Bishnoi, a second-year student of AIIMS Delhi. Police said that he had approached many students of the institution to join the gang by luring them with money.
Police further said that Bishnoi made first-year students appear for the NEET exam in place of his clients by getting Rs 7 lakh from them.
Police have so far arrested accused Sanju Yadav, Mahavir, Jitendra and Bishnoi. Yadav is a first-year student of Radiology at AIIMS and rest of them are also students of AIIMS who were writing the exam on behalf of their clients. Police officers said that their phones and laptops have been seized and probe is ongoing to see if other students are also involved.
