Incriminating Evidence on Phone

Authorities recovered multiple chats with women, alongside photographs with air hostesses and screenshots of women’s display pictures. According to a senior police officer, Saraswati allegedly tried to entice women using deceptive claims.

Women Aides Under Question

Two of Saraswati’s female aides have also come under scrutiny. Police allege that these aides threatened victims to delete messages from the godman’s devices. Both were employed in different capacities at the private institute and are being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.

Background of the Case

Chaitanyanand Saraswati, 62, is the former chairman of the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management Research in Vasant Kunj. He had multiple FIRs filed against him under charges including molestation, cheating, and forgery. The accused had been absconding for nearly a month before his arrest in Agra.

Allegations against him range from mass sexual harassment of female students to financial irregularities involving a trust worth ₹122 crore. During his time on the run, Saraswati reportedly changed appearances and hideouts to evade authorities. More than five teams were deployed to track him down.

Saraswati Points Out Locations at the Institute

Following his arrest, Saraswati was taken to the private institute to indicate locations where he allegedly called and harassed victims.

Lack of Cooperation with Investigation

Police officials have stated that Saraswati has not been cooperating fully with the investigation. Despite being confronted with evidence, including digital records and documents, he reportedly gave evasive answers and showed no remorse.

“Even when presented with hard proof, he responds reluctantly and repeatedly misleads investigators,” a police officer said.

The probe into Saraswati’s activities continues, with authorities focusing on both the digital evidence and the involvement of his aides in intimidating victims.
